Anemone polyanthes
This group of plants includes Anemone multifida, a species from the west of America right the way down to Patagonia, with hairy, multiply divided leaves, and upright stems with just a few flowers on each stem. The flowers are usually white or cream, but there are red forms. The group also includes some other excellent species of medium height. Anemone polyanthes is a herbaceous anemone, whose flowers are usually white, but can be purple. It is a relative of Anemone narcissiflora, and originally came from Pakistan to Bhutan.
