Ourisia caespitosa var. gracilis
Excellent plants for web places, those coming from South America generally having bright red, tubular flowers, while those from New Zealand have white flowers that are not so long. Ourisia caespitosa var. gracilis is from South Island in New Zealand. It is a pretty species, with quite large white flowers, over what eventually will be a low, almost completely flat, carpet of tidy foliage. It comes from stony places, but always with a sufficient supply of moisture. This variety usually has one flower per stem, whereas var. caespitosa usually has them in pairs.
