This is small genus of bulbs, which are closely related to the onions (Allium), and there is a strong case for them being included in that genus. They are all very attractive, with an umbel of flowers, each on its own short stem (pedicel) arching out and down from the top of the stem. The colours are shades of pink and white, striped, and the structure is retained even when in seed, months later.
Allium (Nectaroscordum) siculum (meliophilum) has flowers that are coloured coral pink with white stripes, or if you prefer it the other way round, creamy white flushed red on the outside.
