About Kevock Garden Plants

We are a small team who grow an incredibly wide selection of alpine, bog and woodland plants originating from around the world, on our Scottish nursery.

We aim to share our knowledge and love of the wide range of unusual plants we grow, so that more people can enjoy these plants in their own gardens.

We also aim to create opportunities for people facing disadvantage in the workplace (due perhaps to disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or their social situation).  We create opportunities for people to become part of an integrated team, gaining work experience or volunteering alongside skilled horticulturalists and horticulture students.

We are a not-for-profit company, ploughing all financial surpluses back into the business to further these aims.

We seek to be as environmentally friendly as we can be.  We are working towards becoming peat-free, (which involves finding substitutes for peat in many different compost recipes!); we are trying out natural alternatives to pesticides, like nematodes;

Employment and Volunteering

We also aim to create opportunities for people facing disadvantage in the workplace (due perhaps to disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or their social situation).  We create opportunities for people to become part of an integrated team, gaining work experience or volunteering alongside skilled horticulturalists and horticulture students.

If you are interested in finding out more about work experience or volunteering with us, please contact Elea Strang to find out more about what opportunities there are at the time.  You can either phone the nursery on 0131 454 0660, or contact Elea.
