Amarine tubergenii 'Aphrodite'
Dry bulbs and bare root plants for delivery in early April (this catalogue is not currently available for purchase and is shown for information only)

These are hybrids between Amaryllis and Nerine, originally A. belladonna and N. bowdenii, giving Amarine x tubergenii. In structure the flowers resemble those of Nerine, but the Amaryllis influence is shown by broader petals, darker colours and the heads of flowers being more or less hemispherical rather than spherical. Like both parents they are hardy in the UK, but they do best in warm, sunny places or grown in large pots indoors.

Amarine tubergenii 'Aphrodite' has rose pink flowers.
