Uvularia grandiflora
A North American genus of just a few species of woodland plants, known locally as bellwort or merrybells, with lovely slender, hanging flowers with pale yellow twisted petals in spring. Uvularia grandiflora is called Large Merrybells in its home in the woods of North America, which sounds like a character in Lord of the Rings. It has clusters of long, narrow, hanging bells, flared open with pointed petals at the lower end, rich yellow.
