Primula auriculata subsp. olgae
The Oreophlomis section includes Primula rosea and some relatives, and their hybrids. They are lovely spring flowers, all in shades of pink, for cool and damp places, benefitting from being divided every few years, in which case they will soon increase substantially. The leaves of most kinds are bronze when they first emerge in spring. Primula auriculata subsp. olgae is a more refined and delicate variant of the species, with slender leaves, rather shorter than the norm, and with heads of a few pink flowers, rather than a tight, spherical head. This sub-species comes from the Tien Shan and the Pamirs, in central Asia.
