Lysimachia ephemerum

This is a genus that includes the plants known as yellow loosestrife (but not purple loosestrife) and creeping jenny, so a loving of cool, damp conditions is indicated. Yellow is the most usual colour, but paler cream and pink are also possible.

Lysimachia ephemerum is related to the familiar yellow loosestrife, but with starry, white flowers in pyramidal spikes, above grey green foliage. Suitable for the front of a cool herbaceous border, or in partial shade, where it will not dry out.
