Kirengeshoma koreana
This Japanese and Korean clump-forming perennial is a lovely plant for woodland conditions. It has loose sprays of pale yellow flowers, which have been described simultaneously as tubular and bell-shaped. (I know that there are tubular bells, but the descriptions don’t seem to be helpful.) They are somewhere in between, tubular, but slightly flared at the end. The flowers do not make a strong splash of colour, but they are elegant. Kirengeshoma koreana has soft yellow flowers.
