Daphne x transatlantica 'Eternal Fragrance'
These are dwarf daphnes, all wonderful plants for growing in the rock garden or in pots in an alpine house or greenhouse. They are neat shrublets, with fine foliage and clusters of scented flowers, rich pinks in most varieties, although there are white ones. Some have coloured fruit. Daphne x transatlantica 'Eternal Fragrance' is a new introduction, a hybrid of Daphne caucasica and D. sericea, which is exceptionally fragrant, and because it flowers on new growth, it can keep on flowering right through the summer. So it is well named! It is a compact rounded shrub and produces white flowers above shiny green semi-evergreen foliage. A 'must-have' plant.
