Armeria maritima
A genus that includes our native sea pink or thrift, often seen on coastal rocks. They make mats of bright green grassy foliage, with lots of pink or white button flowers, usually on short stems. Armeria maritima is the 'sea pink', found wild on the rocky coasts of Britain, as well as in many other parts of the world, including Chile and New Zealand.
