Hall have engaged us to renovate areas over several years.

Our Approach
Although each project is unique, our approach is underpinned by the desire to improve
the quality of the experience of each client in their outdoor space.
After an initial site visit, we agree with the client the scope of the work and then
provide an estimate of the cost.
With the client we seek to unravel the character of the garden before looking
to the palette of plant material. We can then give more time and consideration to the detail
of the planting combinations.
We are already expert growers at Kevock and have the knowledge and skills
of the whole nursery team to call upon when needed. Years of sourcing plants those
we don’t grow ourselves means we have strong relationships with other suppliers.

Stella & David Rankin
Stella & David, who started the nursery, now work as consultants to Kevock Garden Design. Their work is inspired by numerous expeditions to see plants in mountainous regions all over the world, which influences their plant selections and combinations. David brings botanical expertise and both give talks to horticultural groups. They have over twenty years of working on garden projects, large and small.
Stella and David Rankin have been developing their garden since 1983 and open it under Scotland’s Gardens and to groups. It has an outstanding collection of alpine, woodland and damp-loving plants. Their advice is rooted in long practical experience.

Monica Wylie
Monica is a garden designer and planting consultant. She is the lead designer on our gold medal winning RHS Chelsea show displays. Her own extensive plant knowledge has been developed through years of observation and handling of plants, training and research. With over a decade of designing gardens of all sizes, Monica’s gift is having an eye for composition and bringing collections of plants together, playing with how colours and shape combine to impact the way we feel in the space.
She gardens her own garden. In a previous life she worked with the botanical sculptor, Alison Coates, in Australia, and ran her own successful flower business. When she’s not at the nursery, Monica paints, enjoys visiting other gardens, is immersed in the arts and loves being in nature.
