Andromeda polifolia 'Alisa'
These are compact ericaceous shrubs, with grey-green leaves and cluster of small, hanging, urn-shaped flowers, contracted at the mouth. They look good with other ericaceous shrubs, such as cassiopes, phyllodoces and dwarf rhododendrons, and like similar conditions. It is a British wild plant - bog rosemary. Andromeda polifolia 'Alisa' is a variety with bright pink flowers, but although we were given the original plant with this name, we have not been able to track it down.
