Anemone (Anemonastrum) narcissiflorum

This group of plants includes Anemone multifida, a species from the west of America right the way down to Patagonia, with hairy, multiply divided leaves, and upright stems with just a few flowers on each stem. The flowers are usually white or cream, but there are red forms. The group also includes some other excellent species of medium height.

Anemone (Anemonastrum) narcissiflorum makes mounds of dissected leaves, pale green, and has heads with a few white or cream, very occasionally pink or purple, flowers. A good plant for a moisture-retentive soil.
