Erinus alpinus The books say that this is called the 'fairy primrose', although I have never heard that name used. However, the flowers are quite like those of the small primulas, such as Primula farinosa, usually pink or white, several to a stem and many stems on a plant. We use it to decorate an old stone wall, scattering the seed in the autumn. By the second year these yield many flowering mats, self-seeding thereafter.
