Iberis aurosica subsp. cantabrica This is a true alpine, coming from screes (usually limestone) in the mountains of north-east Spain. It makes neat mats or domes of somewhat fleshy, narrow leaves, above which are held the heads of flowers, which are white in this sub-species.
