Taxus baccata Fastigiata Aurea Group An excellent architectural plant, making a slender column of golden leaves. It is one of a small number of plants that we use where two paths meet at an acute angle, stopping people from cutting the corner, not taking up too much space - and looking good! After many years the number of upright stems increases and so it becomes wider, but this can be curtailed by judicious pruning. In practice we regard the plants as having a finite lifetime (at least 15 years), and in due course replace them.
