Kniphofia ensifolia This is a red-hot poker species that isn't red. Known as the torch lily, it has a typical dense inflorescence of many tubular flowers, in this case greenish white to cream, opening from slightly reddish buds. It is an architectural (but deciduous) plant, with great tufts of spiky leaves.
