This is a distinctive iris having long, narrow leaves and usually dark flowers, with a golden yellow pattern on the falls.
Iris cf.chrysographes SDR5951 is likely to be the same as collection SDR5935, although it came from an area a good few miles away. Both sets of plants are rather shorter than most Iris chrysographes, but probably have the deep purple flowers with the yellow pattern characteristic of that species.
Other related plants:
Black flowers with yellow pattern on falls.
As the black form, but seed-grown. Most will have black or very dark flowers.
Dark purple flowers with yellow pattern on falls, narrow leaves.
Dark purple-flowered species, possibly Iris chrysographes.
