These are the larger sedums, which produce vigorous stems of fleshy leaves, and then in early autumn they are topped with broad heads of pink flowers, which are a magnet for butterflies. They die back in winter.
Sedum 'Mini Joy' is a shorter version of the much loved 'Autumn Joy', making neat clumps of blue-green, succulent leaves. In autumn it produces large clusters of small, rosy red flowers, which are as attractive to butterflies as those of its familiar big sister.
