Salix moupinensis This grew in our garden for 25 years without us knowing what it was. Then it was identified by Roy Lancaster, who probably had propagated this specimen 30 years previously, when he worked for Hilliers! Nobody else seems to grow it, but they should. It is a large shrub, with outstandingly beautiful glossy, deep green leaves, quite large, which come from lovely red buds, which are attractive even when there are no leaves.
