Excellent plants for web places, those coming from South America generally having bright red, tubular flowers, while those from New Zealand have white flowers that are not so long.
Ourisia coccinea is a native of Chile, its rhizomes slowly creeping to form a mat, with bright green, toothed leaves. The upright flower stems each have a few, up to about ten, brilliant red tubular, hanging flowers.
