A botanically interesting primula that was once thought not to be a primula at all! This was based mainly on the fact that it has tube-shaped flowers with other features that are shared by no other primula. The yellow flowers appear in late spring are are borne in nodding clusters of up to 30 individuals (similar to cowslips).
