Disporopsis pernyi
These are subtle, refined plants for a woodland garden, with evergreen foliage and hanging bell-shaped flowers. They are sometimes known as evergreen Solomon's seal, which gives a reasonable idea of their character, but they are much shorter than most Solomon's seals (Polygonatum). Each stem should produce one or two new stems each year, so they can fill spaces between shrubs. Disporopsis pernyi forms gently arching flower stems, each with several hanging, pure white bells, the stems clasped by the broad leaves.
