Cyananthus incanus
There are lots of Cyananthi brightening the slopes of sinohimalayan mountains in autumn, some blue, some purple, and a few pale yellow. All have trailing stems radiating from a central point; almost all are excellent plants to grow, and the best are stunning. Cyananthus incanus has striking dark blue to purply blue, open trumpet-shaped flowers with the distinctive hairy throat. It has red stems and the tiny leaves are also slightly hairy. This is an excellent addition to a rock garden or scree bed. It originates from alpine meadows in south west China and Bhutan.
