Sorbus tenuis

Sorbus tenuis is one of several species collected near Kanding by the Swedish Harry Smith in the 1930s, and recently identified as a new species and named by Hugh McAllister. It is quite a compact plant, with about 11 pairs of small leaflets on each leaf, turning bright red in autumn.

Compact rowan with neat, small, pinnate foliage, going bright red in autumn.
