Ourisia 'Loch Ewe'

Ourisia 'Loch Ewe' is a hybrid between a red-flowered Chilean species, Ourisia coccinea, and a white-flowered one from New Zealand, O. macrophylla, which turned out in the best possible way: it has unique, pure pink flowers, so is intermediate between its parents, but has the neat, compact growth of O. coccinea. It was raised at Inverewe Garden many years ago, and is an excellent plant for the damp spots favoured by its parents.
