This genus includes the well-known honeysuckle, other climbing species, and some shrubs. They have pairs of flowers in the leaf axils, and red fruits in autumn.

Lonicera SDR6044 is a low, rounded shrub, with small red fruit. It is not yet identified, so we don't know about the flowers. It grew with a range of rhododendrons and other ericaceous shrubs, on wet rocks at 3500 m.
