There are quite a few species of Iris in this group, coming from the west coast of America. They are are generally tough plants, with fairly short, narrow leaves, and flowers that are much smaller than some of the more gaudy garden species. The colours are subtle, and in the case of innominata usually pale yellow or straw-coloured, but sometimes more into the pale blue and purple range. Our parent plants have a pleasant yellow colour.
