This is a remarkably colourful plant, with three contrasting colours in the leaves - bluish green, creamy yellow and red. It grows vigorously in wet places (even in water). Sometimes it can be a bit too vigorous, but we grow it in an isolated corner of a pond, and it has never gone beyond its allotted space. Controlling it in other ways is not recommended, as the bruised foliage and stems have a rather unpleasant smell.
