Most members of this genus are grown for their foliage, and there is a huge range of varieties with exotic coloured leaves. They make great ground cover, or can be used to soften the edges of paths.

		Heuchera 'Amethyst Mist' has deep maroon, or to make it sound more classy, burgundy, foliage, strongly patterned, almost covered, on the upper surface with silver.
		Heuchera 'Ebony and Ivory' has a particulary good combination of foliage and flower colour. Deep bronze-purple foliage and lovely pale cream flowers.
		Heuchera 'Midnight Rose' is a spectacular variety with black background foliage spotted with rich pink marks in spring, turning to a lighter shade of black with cream and pink dots in summer. Quite unlike anything we have seen before.
		Heuchera 'Sugar Frosting' is a highly attractive and compact variety, with silver-violet markings on burgundy leaves and creamy white flower spikes.
		x Heucherella 'Kimono' has green, palmate leaves, with a central zone in each lobe a much darker, purple colour. The flowers are rosy pink.
