These have round (globular) heads made up of a mass of tiny flowers, almost always smoky blue, on short stems above mats of small leaves. They are always popular.

Globularia cordifolia makes low tufts of shiny dark green, with short flowering stems, each topped with a little ball of florets, a lovely smoky blue colour.

invisible.gif Globularia cf. nudicaulis SDR6325 makes mats of dark green, spoon-shaped leaves, above which rise upright stems carrying the lavender blue pompoms of flowers.
invisible.gif Globularia valentina is one of the larger species, originating in Spain. It makes a mat of deep green leaves, evergreen, with many upright stems, each with its round head of violet-blue flowers.
