There are very many gentians that come from China, the Himalaya and Japan, some low ones and some with upright stems. All are beautiful, and most can be grown without too much difficulty.
Gentiana robusta is indeed robust, with an upright stem clad with broad, bright green leaves, topped with a dense cluster of lots of flowers, white tinged with green or blue. It comes from the Himalaya, from Nepal into western China.
