This is a good shrub, particularly attractive in autumn. Then its slender, willow-like leaves turn yellow and pink, and the fruits appear bright pink, with conspicious orange arils. It has an open habit, and with us is deciduous, although it is said that it can be evergreen (in which case the autumn colour will probably be lacking).
