We are happy to open the garden to groups. The valley is beautiful with views over the river, to Mavisbank House and the Pentlands. The garden is full of interesting plants and there is something in flower every day of the year. It is a relaxing and refreshing place for those who have an interest in plants, floral art or who simply want a pleasant social outing.
A guided tour can be given with information about the development of the garden, plants and design issues. Lots of tips for gardeners!
Please wear strong shoes.
All visits are by appointment only.
Light refreshments are available for groups in the house.
We will bring a selection of plants from the nursery to the garden. On our small stall you are likely to find something not found in a garden centre! You may order in advance from our mail-order plant catalogue for a list of plants, descriptions and many photographs. Orders may be sent in before the visit.
We can help you arrange a whole day's programme, with visits to other gardens, places of interest, walks etc.
The top part of the garden is suitable for disabled access but the slope is difficult for those with mobility problems.
