Generate your own catalogue

Welcome to our experimental plant selector. You can choose the category or categories of plants you are interested in, the preferred soil conditions and the site conditions for the plant. Soon we will add other options, flowering time, flower colour and size.

If you encounter any difficulties, just go back to the catalogue introduction page, and then go to the complete catalogue. Also please let us know about the problem (or tell us if you like the plant selector, and find it helpful).

Click on as many boxes in the following list as you like, and then click 'Generate my catalogue'. Note that if there is no selection under any of the headings you will get a catalogue with no plants in it at all!

Situation in the garden

Select the situations in which you want to grow your plants. Plants may grow well in other conditions: these describe where we look after our plants in the nursery.

'Avoid winter wet' indicates that excessive winter wet is not liked, so grow the plant in a greenhouse, alpine house or cold frame, or cover it with a pane of glass.

'Dry in summer' is for plants, such as some bulbs and alpines from place with a continental climate, that benefit from being quite dry (but not bone dry) during the summer. A greenhouse, alpine house or cold frame, porch or even a windowsill is suitable.
